Kohli urges LG to access ground situation of health institutions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sepy 17: Prominent social worker and National Conference leader Pankaj Kohli drew attention of LG of Jammu & Kashmir to visit GMC Hospital Jammu and other health institutions to assess ground reality. Continuing with his silent protest against the administration for improving the facilities in quarantine centres, isolation wards and Covid Hospitals, Pankaj Kohli today again held a silent protest in front of GMC hospital holding banners to highlight the plight of Covid patients. He demanded that government should immediately intervene and ensure adequate supply of oxygen gas cylinders in the hospitals. Besides he demanded that due to panic, people are rushing to government hospitals for testing which is adversely affecting the supporting staff. He suggested that government should immediately consider the opening of private hospitals for testing and treatment and also cut down the cost of testing to Rs 1000 instead of 2500 as being charged now. Confidence building measures are needed to be taken on war footing to overcome panic situation, he added. He requested the government to immediately set right these issues on top priority for the people. Lastly, he appealed the public of UT to strictly adhere to the safety measures as per SOPs issued by the administration from time to time.
