| KVK, Rajouri organizes training-cum-awareness programme | | | | Rajouri, Sept 17: KrishiVigyan Kendra, Rajouri under the aegis of Directorate of Extension, SKUAST, Jammu organized one day Training cum awareness programmeon NutriThali and Nutri Garden for Anganwadi workers of ICDS Project of District Rajouri. The programme was attended by about 50 participants including anganwadi workers and Supervisors of ICDS, Rajouri besides farm women of adjoining villages. Programme started with welcome address by Dr. SurajParkash, SMS of KVK who informed the participants about concept of Nutri Garden and NutriThali and its importance for Anganwadi centers. Addressing the participants, Dr. Arvind Kumar Ishar, Sr. Scientist & Head of KVK Rajouri emphasized the importance of nutritional food for growing children, expecting and feeding mothers. He gave a detailed deliberation on importance of local fruits and vegetables in our daily diet and enjoined upon all the participants to promote and use local under utilized fruits as they are readily available at no cost. |
