Unemployment is disempowerment of Youth: Youth Congress | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 17: Amid rising unemployment among the educated youth in J&K; Youth Congress Kishtwar Spokesperson Dr.Jahanzaib sirwal lambasted Union and J&K government for failing to create a concrete job policy for educated youth. In a statement issued to press, Youth Congress spokesman said that the unemployment as the disempowerment of educated youth who have been pushed to the wall by the BJP-led government at the center. He questioned the whereabouts of the 2 crore jobs which were announced by the Modi-led Government for J&K youth after the abrogation of Article 370. “What happened to the multiple crore jobs which were promised to the youth of J&K,” he said. He said that alarming unemployment among youth is a threat to the nation since largest section of the society is deprived of jobs. “Even already employed youth in different private sectors have lost their jobs due to the unprecedented Covid-19 lockdown imposed by the government,” Youth Congress Spokesperson said. He said that the government must come up with a secure job policy for the youth of J&K. “J&K during the unplanned lockdown have lost more than five million jobs besides being more then this number already unemployed in the UT,” He said and added that anti-youth policies of Central government has destitute the people of J&K. Youth Congress spokesperson said that it is unfortunate that all the promised made on the name of abrogation of Article 370 have turned bogus since none of the promises were fulfilled by the Modi led government. |
