JAMMU, Sept 20: Making their contributions to combat Covid-19 virus, the RSS has activated its volunteers and the frontal organizations since 25th, March, 2020 to work at the ground level of which feeding the underprivileged is on the top of their priority. In Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh the Swayamsewaks of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) came forward and provided ,Food, Cloths, Masks, Sanitizers and various daily utility items to the people who needed the most. RSS also provided the PPE kits to the medical fraternity.
This was disclosed by the senior functionaries of RSS, Jammu Kashmir while launching the video of social works done during the COVID-19 pandemic till date at Trikuta Samvad Kendra.
They elaborated that, at 2995 places in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh nearly 4725 Swayamsewaks of the organization came forward to serve the humanity in these crucial hours. They served 62891 families across the both the UT’s. As most of the people working on the Shops, roadside rehries, laborers lost their jobs due to pandemic needs immediate help. A total number of 87161 Ration Kits were distributed among the needy people, whereas 4,35,770 Food packets were also distributed to the people who were in immediate need of food. As mask is the one of the important item to contain the pandemic RSS came forward and prepared the cloth Masks at their different units and distributed among the people. |
