Jammu, Sept 20: A protest rally organized by various organizations to support the demand for implementation of Punjabi language as official language in J&K UT. The Punjabi speaking people of all walks of life participated protest rally like Sikh Najwan Sabha Chatha Farm Jammu, Sarpanches, Gurdwara Local Committee Corporator, Panches, Punjabi Bhasha Sangarsh Committee, Jammu Kashmir President Dr. Manojit Singh& Punjabi Lekhak Sabha President Jammu & Kashmir, Akalidal, Jammu Kashmir Sikh United Front J&K, Shiromani Akali Dal J&K Shivsena Balasahib Thakaray J&K Unit, J&K SC Confederation, Muslim Federation, J&K Dalit Samaj and others. The protestors raising slogans in support of their demand. They appealed to Prime Minister Narinder Modi, Home minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha J&K UT for implementation of Punjabi as official language in J&K UT. The rally which started from Chatha passing through routs like Karanbagh, Upper Gadigarh, Gadigarh, Ranibag, Airport, Satwari, reached Digiana Ashram Jammu where it culminated with Sermon(Ardas) performed by Shriman Mahant Manjit Singh Ji Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch. It is pertinent to mention here that the Shivsena Babasahib Balthakray J&K unit under President ship of its President J&K unit Munish Sawhney requested Mahant Sahib to perform Ardas as Shivsena J&K unit will sit on one day Dharna, Hence after Aardas by Mahant Sahib they started one day Dharna at Digiana Ashram Jammu in support of implementation of Punjabi as official language in J&K UT.
