Indian lifestyle: Need of the hour for world
9/23/2020 12:02:29 AM
Lalit Garg

Today’s human is still not aware about their lifestyle while they have been hurt many times at physical, economic, mental and spiritual levels. Advanced science and technology are unable to protect us from these injuries. Even withstand the corona pandemic; humans cannot understand this reality of life. This is the reason why the fascination of the world, being entangled in the temptation of power and selfishness. They have been doing all their activities in such a way, as if they have come after having elixir and brought the blessings of being immortal. If they keep in mind that life is going towards complexity, death is standing every moment, life can become horrible at any moment, then we should think about our actions and adventures.
This corona epidemic has again brought attention to the deteriorating relationship between man and nature, presenting the face of the world from human to demon. The last four hundred years of epidemics, great wars, endless jihadi and terrorist attacks in recent decades have shown the same. Then what should humanity do for a healthy, gentle and harmonious life? This needs to be considered. But man is alienated from man in conveniences. That era has now become a dream thing, when our culture is based on the concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhin’. Every human being has to follow this type of lifestyle which is based on these two concepts.
The corona epidemic is an immediate, real and immense tragedy, a catastrophe that is happening before our eyes. The World Health Organization and the world’s health experts believe that the corona epidemic is not going to end soon. Even though we lived the best in the past and achieved all kinds of advancements. Even though we have been witness to the best era of human history, one big truth also stands that in front of a coronavirus we are innocent, our science and our technology are also helpless. Technological and scientific achievements cannot make life superior in every respect. We have to respect the laws of nature; we have to stop the exploitation of nature. Whenever there was a crisis in humanity, then for the solution of this, the knowledge and rich culture of India has shown light to the world.
In fact, the imagination of death takes us into the depths of life. We learn that every moment of our life is precious and we have to use it effectively. We have to adopt a lifestyle that is good for nature and other human beings. Our character should be like stain free but now this has become blood stained. We go to the temple; for a moment before the idol of the Lord, our malaise disappears. Our thoughts become pure. The light of the soul starts shining when the cover of dirt is removed. This happens when our mouth is towards God, and back to the world. But as soon as we come out of the temple, our face turns to the world, industrialists in industry, farmers in agriculture, politicians in politics, laborers in labor, but at the end of life they find that they have nothing.
Yoga, Ayurveda, food, literature, tradition, knowledge and experience of India are useful, as were the lifelong yogis thousands of years ago. They have not yet become museum items. Even today, in a sense, India has included the glorious life of the same period in its life. This is not the case in any other civilization of the world. Indian civilization and culture, biography is eternal, trivial and universal. It has been in contact with the entire existence and greater consciousness. The Upanishads, the Jain Agam are direct proof of this. The truths and facts present in them seem universal beyond the boundaries of country, time or society. The simple presentation of that is in the Geeta. Stress of mind increases. To overcome this tension, the path of ‘diet-eating’ has been described in the Geeta, that is, we should eat ‘satvik’ food and take enough sleep. ‘Tamasic’ food stimulates human instincts and the lack of sleep makes the mind restless. The body cannot remain healthy if there is no food restraint.
India has been a source of knowledge for world civilization since the early period. But the irony is that we ourselves are denying our unbelievable treasures, by denying its power and getting entangled in the disaster. This is one such truth of our life, which we do not know even by knowing, which we do not understand even by understanding it. The famous English poet Wordsworth has spoken of the great address in one of his poems: “We are so immersed in the world that we do not receive anything from nature, from that nature which is our own.” We have spent all their lives in the transaction of the world. ‘
Knowing the loop-form of all the things which are in the world, people should keep their feet very carefully, bluntly. As long as the body is strong, it should be used with maximum restraint - simplicity and discipline. Life is getting disturbed, not just busy, because the store of information is filled in the mind. Along with the usefulness of information technology, it is also necessary to be aware of the fact that all our actions should be harmonized with nature and basic authority.
Human health is also dependent on this harmony. Yoga and Ayurveda balance our internal energy. It gives strength to fight against diseases, increase immunity. The innate immunity potential of the people of the world, called the powerful nation, has decreased. While the postures for strengthening the body and for longevity, pranayama has been given scientifically by the sages on the basis of experience. Pranayama, Kayotsarga, redirection humans will be free from the deep attack of coronavirus or will escape from it. Regardless of the method of meditation, self-refinement is essential for corona catastrophe. Add any amount of nectar to the poison which is full of poison, it will not remain without becoming toxic. If the origin of the Ganges is sacred Gomukh, then the water flowing through it is also sacred. Keep this water for any number of days, it will never be contaminated. The same thing is with the human body, mind and intellect. Without their purification, the measures to remove the corona epidemic and get a healthy and crisis-free life will never be successful.
It has been said that till the dirt of mind, words and actions will not go away, the dream of the elixir of life will remain a day-dream.Self-control cannot be possible without self-refinement. A philosopher states, “To change the habit, to change nature, to change the whole form of duty, self-purification is necessary. It is not a blank orientation. It is not a transformation, but a complete transformation. Transfiguration of psychology is the process of changing the path of a fundamental instinct, the method of taking it in another direction. Even for those who adopt vegetarianism and live a better lifestyle, coming out of the corona crisis is easier than others.
Such a lifestyle does not discriminate in any way in humanity. Anyone who wants can try its unique power. Vaccine is necessary to prevent contagious diseases, but for the sake of overall health, it is necessary to have a balanced life, balanced diet, good habits, positive thinking and to associate oneself with the basic life in nature.
Corona havoc can be prevented by people’s lives to being healthy and positive. For this, the Indian lifestyle can be the basis of a healthy lifestyle. We have to re-balance the balance between our internal and external environment, which has been broken in many societies for centuries.
At present, this entire world, our humanity needs a new lifestyle, a civilization-culture with Indian values. Yoga, Ayurveda and Indian values are the essential things to adopt a positive and stress free lifestyle.
