| TMF hails volunteer weekend lockdown by traders | | |

Jammu, Sept 24: In view of rising cases of COVID-19 in particularly in Jammu Division and in the absence of District Administration not willing to impose lockdown as is required with the permission of MHA Union of India the traders community has opted for Self Rule of weekly lockdown in their areas disclosed Team Mask Force Chairman Vijay Sharma in a media reporting.
The traders have unanimously agreed to open their shops between 10amto 6 pm. In order to set economy on rails & lot many people not adhering to various sops by the Authorities the spike in covid-19 cases the District Administration opted for declaring the containment zones from time to time But during recent past due to hue and cries by mainstream parties & visiting central Govt teams deputed to take stock of situation on ground it was observed that the treatment meted out to covid-19 patients was not satisfactory that the same also couldn’t alert the Administration to go for Lockdown that Traders community decided to go for their own weekly lockdown on Saturday/Sunday & other weekdays from 10am to 6pm the shops would remain open.TMF Chairman appealed the Administration to monitor the situation on hourly basis. |
