UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: Police patrolling Party of Police Station Udhampur apprehended one drug peddler and recovered 15 grams of heroin (chitta) like substance. Police patrolling team of PS Udhampur led by SHO Police Station Udhampur, Insp Vijay Singh Choudhary during patrolling at Dhar Road near District Hospital caught one suspected person who was trying to hide himself from police to avoid checking. During search of the person identified as Rahildeep @ Rahil, son of Gopal Krishan of WNo 5 Barrian, Udhampur, 15 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from him. Police arrested the accused person on spot and also seized recovered heroin (chitta). In this connection, a Case FIR No 505/2020 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
