Bhagat Singh’s 113th birthday celebrated

Jammu, Sept 27: Shree Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre (SVLARC) , New Plot, Jammu celebrated 113th birthday of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. One of the executive member of SVLARC, Kuldeep Kumar, a retired Marine Commando (MARCOS) of the Indian Navy carried out a cycle run and completed 113 Kms Cycling (SOLO) from Satwari Jammu Cantt. to Chadwal, Kathua (56.5 km) and back to Satwari Jammu Cantt. (Total 113Km) on NH-44 taking approximately 5hrs 30mins on a non gear cycle, thus giving a hon’ble tribute to a hon’ble freedom fighter who sacrificed his life so that we could breathe the air of freedom. Another motive of the event was to deliver a message to society to keep their self fit and healthy always by doing any kind of physical activity. Kuldeep Kumar gave a brief about Bhagat Singh’s life and his contribution to freedom struggle. Ramesh Angotra , Convenor of the Library and Raman Chalotra, Vice Chairman of the Library stated that the event is unique and first of its kid in Jammu. Raman Chalotra applauded the Ex serviceman for his dedication and patriotism.
