JAMMU, Sept 30: Chairman, Nation Development Association (NDA), Sushil Singh Charak and President NDA Sub District Bishnah, Tanish Sharma joined United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in a function held here at New Rehari Office on Wednesday, abiding by the social distancing norms. They were welcomed into the party fold by UDA Convenor, Rajiv Mahajan in presence of other office bearers. Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Mahajan, Chief Spokesperson of UDA said that the Alliance with each passing day garnered support as more and more people are joining it in Jammu as they have realized that their interests, the interests of the UT and that of the nation can only be safeguarded by UDA. Hitting out at BJP led central and Uttar Pradesh governments for not taking strong action against rape accused in UP and cremated the rape victim by the UP police in midnight against the traditional ritual of Hindu community, Rajiv Mahajan demanded from the Central government to hang-up the rapists at the earliest to give justice to the victim family. “A 20-year-old woman, who died on Tuesday in Delhi two weeks after she was gang-raped and tortured in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, was cremated by policemen last night, allegedly as her family and relatives were locked up in their homes,” he said. He said on the one hand BJP national leaders committed for the safeguarding all communities including Hindu but this type of tragedy with the rape victim followed by cremation in midnight is always against the tradition of Hindu rituals. Others present were Vijay Sharma and Kulbir Sigh Slathia. |
