GDC Kalakote organises “Talk on Gandhi”

Rajouri, Oct 1: To celebrate 151 th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, NSS Unit of GDC Kalakote organized “Talk on Gandhi” to tribute the Father of Nation and to remember his courageous deeds on the way of struggle for freedom for Nation from British Rule. Various aspects of his life were discussed, his childhood, simple life style but high thinking. He was the pioneer of truth and Non-Violence who started the “Satyagraha Movement” for Indian’s freedom. He played a significant role in the achievement of freedom for India from British rule. The talk was ended by singing his favorite song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Patit Pavan Sita Ram” in order to pay homage to Gandhiji. Principal GDC Kalakote Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta encouraged the participants and faculty members. He also conveyed the message to follow the path harmony and peace as preached by Mahatma Gandhi. He further added that people take this day to remember a man who is responsive in a huge way for lives they are leading today. NSS Programme officer GDC Kalakote, Prof. Sachin Kumar Bhagat upheld values of Gandhi and highlighted the sacrifices he made for the country.
