Tributes paid to former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan

Jammu, Oct 14: Rich tributes were paid to Lok Jan Shakti Chief and former union minister Ram Vilas Paswan today. In this regard a tributes ceremony was organised here today by senior leader and former state president LJP, Rafiq Malik, in which other party leaders were present.
While paying tributes to the union minister, Rafiq Malik said that I am saddened beyond words. There is a void in our nation that will perhaps never be filled. Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji’s demise is a personal loss. I have lost a good friend, valued colleague and someone who was extremely passionate to ensure every poor person leads a life of dignity.
He was a Dalit leader from Bihar and an eight-time Lok Sabha MP, Paswan had been serving as the Union Minister of Food and Public Distribution in the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
He was a minister in central governments headed by parties of contrasting ideological persuasions, ranging from the Janata Dal to the Congress and the BJP, since 1989.
He was very active and keen to help the poor and dalit people, and the people belong to dalit family also feel proud to have such leaders who always remain ready to help them.
Among others who paid their tributes to the former union minister includes Sanju Bhagat, Mulk Raj, Shakeel Ahmed, Ajay Raina, Nirmal, Darshan Devi, Parkash Pore (all senior leaders), Shahbaz malik and Puran chand.
On the occasion candles were also lighted in the memory of former union Minister.
