SAMBA, Oct 20: The Town–My Pride programme today concluded with problem resolving approach of participatory democracy in the district samba. The final day of the programme witnessed participation of people from all walk of life. The presidents and members of municipal committees presented their local issues to the visiting officers. The urban connect programme helped in public outreach in the major towns, service delivery at doorsteps and also strengthened grassroots democracy. The activities of day 2 of the programme included meeting with urban local bodies, review of scheme benefits under SHGS, PMAY-U, issuance of Domicile certificates and other revenue documents and registration of eligible individuals and household for beneficiary oriented schemes. Sports kits, school uniforms, education kits, PMSVANIDHI, Prosthetic aids Ayushman Bharat cards, and J&K health cards were also distributed by the visiting officers at municipal council Samba, municipal committee Vijaypur, municipal committee Ramgarh and Municipal council Bari- Brahmana. Other activities carried out during final day of MTMP included Sanitation drives, plantation drives, mega events dissemination awareness of housing agriculture horticulture, animal sheep husbandry handicraft, floriculture, social welfare, Banking etc. Meanwhile, Secretary ARI and Training J&K UT, Abdul Majid Bhatt, the visiting officer for Samba MC also visited sports stadium and interacted with players who participated in different the inter zone district level volley ball, badminton and Kho-Kho u/17 boys tournament organized by department of youth services and sports. The visiting officer also gave away eleven (11) tables of table tennis to Government Higher Secondary Schools of Samba. |
