Early times Report

Rajouri, Oct 29: Old age people from various areas of Rajouri district, carrying their pension files, kept wandering in Dak bungalow but no one from Social Welfare Department reached there to take care of them and collect their files.
Along with the documents, the old age pensioners from many far flung villages had come to Rajouri and want to submit their files with the Social Welfare Department so that they can be given pension. The elders said that after the official announcement, on Wednesday, after walking several kilometers, people reached the bungalow Rajouri to deposit their files with sticks in their hands, but even after wandering there throughout the day, no officer or any employee from the Social Welfare Department not reached there to collect their files.
The elders said that they have not been getting pension for the last several years. Even before this, they have deposited his files several times in the department office, but they cannot come to know where their files are lost. This time, on the occasion of Block Divas, they had hoped that their pension demand pending for years would be fulfilled but even today they kept wandering throughout the day but no one took care of them and collected their files and all this is unacceptable to them.
Abdul Kabir, Tehsil Officer of Social Welfare Department arrived at the occasion at about 3 o'clock and told that the duty of a female employee was to bring files from the elders to the department office but under which circumstances the woman did not take the files and why she was not on duty, this thing will not be investigated.
