| KVK Reasi imparts training on Agri-Entrepreneurship | | |

Reasi, Nov 15: Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK), easi under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) conducted one day farmers training programme today on “ Agri-entrepreneurship for rural development” at Dhanwa village of Pouni block in Reasi district of J&K which was attended by a number of farmers of the village with full zeal and interest. All SOPs pertaining to COVID-19 pandemic were strictly followed while conducting the programme. The programme was conducted under the able guidance and supervision of Director Extension of SKUAST-J, Dr.SK Gupta. Sr. Scientist &Head of KVK, Reasi Dr.Banarsi Lal initiated the programme with the warm welcome of the participants. During the technical session, he spoke in length on agri-entrepreneurship and narrated that farmers should divert themselves from the subsistence agriculture to commercial agriculture so that their income and employment can be enhanced. He encouraged the participants to start agriculture as an enterprise so that their socio-economic status can be improved. He educated the farmers on the scientific cultivation of organic vegetables, wheat, chickpea, oilseeds, mushroom cultivation, aromatic and medicinal plants, poultry farming etc. and urged them to adopt the new technologies in agriculture so that their production and productivity can be enhanced. |
