Plunderers of J&K resources to be answerable for each penny: Naqvi
11/20/2020 11:23:53 PM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Asserting that the people responsible for robbing the right and resources of the people of J&K will be answerable for each penny, Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday said that Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) was formed to save personal interest.
"The politicians who formed the alliance are aware about the sins they have committed and they know where they will have to go," Naqvi told reporters after addressing BJP workers in the city on Friday.
He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the political process (DDC elections) with enthusiasm. "The participation of the people in this political process is the guarantee of their development and prosperity," he said.
In an apparent referral to PAGD, the Union Minister said the individuals who were trying to stop people from taking part in the political process had to face defeat. "J&K was a hot bed for looters and it was PM Modi who has put an end to this. The people responsible for robbing the right and resources of the people of J&K will be answerable for each penny," he said.
He said the alliance has been created to save their personal interests and not for the people. "They know they have sinned… they are all gods of sin… they know where they will have to go after this," he said.
Meanwhile, addressing BJP workers, he said Congress was propagating that no Muslim country will support Modi Government if he will remain in power but the PM is leader who was most welcomed in Muslim countries.
Naqvi said Saudi Arabia, UAE and other gulf countries were the first who extended support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. "Congress failed at all levels and their Muslim and minority card did not work at all," he said.
The Union Minister said those who are dreaming of restoration of Article 370 are living in fools' paradise. "Article 370 cannot be restored and those people who are talking of such things should stop exploiting people for their vested interests," he said.
