Celebration after DDC poll results continues in Kishtwar district

KISHTWAR, Dec 25: Even after three days since the results of the DDC elections were out, the celebration by the winning candidates continued as thousands had throng at the residents of the winning candidates beside the parties were seen organizing mega events to greet and honour the winning candidates.
As per the details available with Early Times, National Conference organized a grand function at Inderwal to celebrate the party candidate Sharifa Begum victory who win the DDC elections from Inderwal Block of Kishtwar District, the traditional block which is considered as strong bastion of the Congress party since last two decades.
Though the administration denied the permission to NC to hold the election victory rally, but the local National Conference leader shifted the mega event in a private complex wherein around 1500 party workers participated in the grand programme which was attended by party District President Kishtwar Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo, Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Jaffer Hussain Wani, Kousar Chapoo, Altaf Malik and others.
NC District President Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo in his address expressed his gratitude to the people of Inderwal block for voting in party's favour, adding that the party will work for the betterment and upliftment of the poor and down trodden people of the area.
Similarly Congress party also organized a grand party function at Bunjwah to felicitate the winning candidate Amena Banoo.
The program was attended by party Vice President Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and several other party workers.
Saroori in his address term the victory of Amena Banoo as a victory of truth, adding that people had shown to BJP that politics of divide and rule had no place in Inderwal. Saroori while slamming the BJP said that BJP has lost the morality to lead the people and cautioned the people about the anti-people polices of the BJP which is aimed at weakening the basic democratic structure of the country.
It is pertinent to mention that NC has won 7 seats and Congress 3 seats from Kishtwar District while BJP managed to get only 3 seats from the district.
