IAF to operate C-17 aircraft for stranded passengers of Kargil | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 11: The India Air Force (IAF) will operate C-17 aircraft for the stranded passengers of Kargil in Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh region, officials said on Monday. They said C-17 aircraft has been planned from Leh in Ladakh to Srinagar and Leh to Jammu on Tuesday for stranded passengers of Kargil. UT of Ladakh remained cut off from the Kashmir valley due to closure of the Srinagar-Leh national highway for winter months due to accumulation of snow from January 1 this year.
