POONCH, Jan 22: The snatching cases have gone on to rise in Poonch district in recent past, which has created a sense of fear among the common people but after taking cognizance of Early Times reports, the police have come into swing to identify the culprits.
As per reports, few incidents of snatching took place in the town. "In an incident which took place on January 12, wherein a woman who had withdrawn money from ATM in Poonch town, was counting money outside the ATM, suddenly a man came on bike and snatched the purse but after making noise, the people nearby tried to catch him thereby snatcher threw the purse," eyewitnesses said.
They further said that after three days of this incident, another snatching case took place in town, which has vindicated that a certain gang is active in the Poonch town.
Meanwhile, the Early Times contacted the concerned SHO in this connection and showed him the CCTV footage from his mobile wherein a police official succeeded to identify the snatcher and activated the team to catch the culprit. The SHO appreciated the effort of the Early Times correspondent and assured that soon the culprit will be behind the bars. He appealed to the public to contact the police regarding information of any such elements. |
