Tajinder urges admin to allow free movement of Inter-State buses | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 12: Renowned social activist Tajinder Singh urged the administration of Jammu and Kashmir UT to allow the free movement of Inter-State buses to J&K.Tajinder Singh said that restrictions at Lakhanpur are creating harassment to the passengers which are coming to J&K. He demanded to ease restrictions on plying of Inter-State buses from Lakhanpur Terminal. Tajinder said due to this Mata Vaishno Devi bound pilgrims and the tourists which are coming to visit tourists spots across J&K are facing inconvenience due to Covid-19 restrictions as the passengers from across the country reach Lakhanpur are being asked to deboard their buses, even in the middle of night which is highly inconvenient for them. Singh said that to shift to other vehicles along with luggage is troublesome task especially for females and children and after shifting to other vehicles they have to pay more fare to reach their destinations even after paying full fare for their full journey to the Inter-State buses which is quite harassing and pinch the budget of a traveller. Tajinder asked the administration to make public all rules and regulations if any so that travellers can decide about their itinerary in advance while traveling towards J&K. He said that when there is Unlock across the country, it is worrying to harass passengers under the cover of Covid-19 restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir, due to this hotel industry is facing problems as the tourists are hesitating to visit J&K |
