CUJ starts Skill Enhancement Progamme | | | EArly Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: Central University of Jammu (CUJ) launched the Personality Development and Soft Skills programme at MAM College Jammu sponsored by the Directorate of Higher Education, J&K. Department of Higher Education, Jammu and Kashmir has launched an Employability and Skill Enhancement programme for colleges across the Union Territory through Central University of Jammu as one of the academic partners under the mentorship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Ashok Aima. To implement the capacity building programme and skilling initiatives of J&K government across HEI under DHE, students from various streams are being trained through a range of skill based vocational courses for enhancing their employability. The University will not only provide training but also NSDC certification for various courses. In this context, the first programme was inaugurated today at MAM College, in the presence of the Principal, MAM, college Prof. Sunil Uppal. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Sunil Uppal impressed upon the students to take the maximum benefits from the leading faculty members from Central University of Jammu and other institutions of excellence. The project team from Central University of Jammu is headed by Prof. Devanand as Administrator of the project. The project team includes Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dr.Neelika Arora, Dr. Bachha Babu, and Dr. Shahid Mushtaq. From MAM College the programme is being coordinated by Head of the Department Dr. Bharti Salathia and other faculty members.
