Atul chairs JKTA technical officials meet | | | EArly Times Report
JAMMU, February 12: Technical Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA), Atul Pangotra chaired a meeting of the qualified technical officials of the Association in a meeting held here. Besides updating the officials on technical aspects of the established game in J&K, Atul discussed the modalities to make the penal aware of the existing competition rules and stressed on the need to hold frequent technical sessions to upgrade the knowledge base in the Union Territory. The technical officials, most of them from district Jammu, suggested holding of technical sessions at the district level on regular basis so as to guide the talented youth in right perspective. “The technical side of a game is very important. And, the officials, who conduct the competition at the district and UT level need to be updated with the changing norms and guidelines from the international body of the Taekwondo. So, the technical sessions for Jammu officials was organised to deliberate upon the new changes in Taekwondo,” informed Atul Pangotra. Meanwhile, the JKTA has also planned to reach out to those Physical Education Teachers (PETs) of the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) to help them guide young students at the grass root level to take up the sport in right perspective. |
