ABDPSS celebrates Matra Pitra Poojan Divas 2/14/2021 11:23:34 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 14: Devotees of Sanatan Dharma under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti celebrated “14th February” as “Matra Pitra Poojan” in many parts of Jammu city to spread the message of Lord Ganesha. On this special day volunteers of Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti, Jammu Kashmir organized one function in Bari Brahmana, Jammu. The occasion was graced by Janak Raj ji Shastri as the Chief Guest whereas Sh. Phool Kumaer shastriji was also present and witnessed the function. The function started at with vedic mantras, Saraswati Poojan. Thereafter sermons from bhagwat kathakar Janak Raj ji Shastri. Children from all age group i.e from younger to elder ones worshipping their parents and showing their respect and gratitude towards them. Children from various schools also participated in the function. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Jank Raj Shastri expressed that such events helps creating a sense of responsibility amongst children towards their parents. He said that 14th February called Valentine Day being celebrated by some followers of western culture started 15 to 20 years back in India but now is being celebrated throughout the week and followed by young generation blindly leading them to nowhere. Such practices shall not be promoted in our country. Sunil Sharma, National Organizer of the Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti, disclosed that we find increasing lack of accord between parents and children. The consequent event and increasing number of resorting to old age home have become the cause of concern.
