JAMMU, Feb 17: A 5 days Basic Civil Defence Training Camp was started at Central University, Jammu (CUJ) under the supervision of DySP Shashi Thakur, DyController Civil Defence, Jammu. Dr Deva Nand (Acting Vice Chancellor of the University) along with permanent Staff/Housekeeping Staff/Security Staff/Outsourcing Staff of the University attended the training programme. The training programme was organized in coordination with Dr Vikas Gupta Assistant Registrar, coordinator of the University. Dr Deva Nand, Vice Chancellor of the university appreciated the initiative taken by the Civil Defence in enlightening the staff with regard to the techniques for rescue as well as mitigation during any Disaster/eventuality. The main aim of training programme is to facilitate the staff with regard to preventive measure during disaster, history of Civil Defence and importance of First Aid (CPR, Chocking, and Emergency Methods), Fire Fighting etc. Basic life saving techniques during road accidents, natural or manmade disasters shall also be given to the staff by the Civil Defence instructors of RCDCC Jammu. Apart from Civil Defence Instructors/officials of RCDCC Jammu, Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden CD Jammu, was also present on the occasion. |
