JAMMU, Feb 17: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department, Dr.Asgar Hassan Samoon today chaired a meeting of senior officers of various departments to discuss and review the JK Education Investment Policy, 2020(JKEIP) at Civil Secretariat here.
Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Department, Talat Parvez Rohella; Special Secretary, lndustries & Commerce, Tariq Ahmad Zargar; MD SIDCO, Mohammad Harun; MD SICOP, Atul Sharma; Special Secretary, PDD, Ravinder Sadhu besides senior officers of Revenue, Education, Finance and other allied departments were also present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on various components of EIP 2020 besides land required for establishing various educational hubs under education sector as per statutory rules. It was also discussed that under EIP-2020 the structure of High tech Edu-city campus shall consist of reputed schools, colleges, Universities and Institutes like International Residential School, Digital Smart School, Engineering& Polytechnic College, Agriculture, Design & Town Planning College, Medical & Dental College, Law College, Tourism &Hospitality Development College and other institutes.
The meeting was informed that the Departments of Skill Development and Higher Education have received six proposals of almost 700 crores from both domestic and international investors. |
