Red Ribbon Club, GDC Sidhra organizes Inter-College quiz competition | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 4: Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Sidhra under the banner of J&K AIDS Control Society, Health and Medical Education Department organized an 'Inter-College Quiz Competition' on the theme "History and Culture of Jammu and Kashmir" today. The logistic support and encouragement of Project Director, J&K AIDS Control Society, Health and Medical Education Department Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather and guidance of Principal (Dr) Monika Sharma contributed to the successful culmination of the event. The programme was inaugurated with the welcome address by Prof Mussarat Chowdhary, Assistant Professor in Economics. Students of various colleges of J&K inclusive of GDC Bishnah, GDC Kathua, GDC Bhaderwah, GDC Ghagwal and the host college GDC Sidhra participated in the quiz competition. The quiz comprised of three rounds in which students competed with full fervour and zeal. The scoring part of the quiz was managed by Anu Chadha, Lecturer in Commerce. After a neck to neck competition among the various teams, GDC Kathua won the first prize, GDC Bhaderwah stood second, and the third prize was bagged by GDC Bishnah. The programme was coordinated by Dr Punam Rani and Dr Satbir Kour, Coordinators of the Red Ribbon Club of the college. All faculty members of the college also participated whole heartedly for smooth accomplishment of the programme. |
