GDC Vijaypur organizes multilingual essay competition

SAMBA, Mar 21: In order to commemorate “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”- a celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence, GDC Vijaypur organized an offline multilingual essay writing competition.To embark the importance of the day, the Essay Competition was held to value the revolutionary artistic ability of the present day generation. Students of GDC Vijaypur participated in the competition with great enthusiasm, zeal and fervor . The first position was secured by Preet Singh, second position was secured by Manisha Kumari and the third position was shared by Vishal Sharma and Supriya Salathia. Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College congratulated the participants and the organizers for making the event a grand success. She exhorted that unity in diversity can be maintained in the society by respecting each other’s choices a well as their social, economic and political background and allowing human interaction amongst them; creating tolerant behaviour towards everyone regardless of their culture, norms and values as well as spreading awareness about the importance of unity in diversity as difference enriches human interactions. Herneet Kour, Department of English coordinated the event. The organizing committee comprised of Sonia Bhagat, Prof. Kuldeep Singh and Dr.Sunil Kumar Mangoch .E-certificates were awarded to the winners of the competition .
