Shocking Revelation!
3/26/2021 11:55:09 PM
National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealing that when Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was in power it pumped money into Hurriyat to keep secessionist activities alive in Kashmir.
The NIA in its chargesheet has claimed: " (Arrested PDP leader) Waheed Parra gave Rs 5 crore to Altaf Ahmed Shah aka Altaf Fantoosh, separatist leader of Hurriyat Conference (G) who was chargesheeted in NIA's terror-funding case, to keep the situation boiling in the Kashmir Valley after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani."
This revelation has sent shockwaves across the country. The party which headed the government in J&K indulging in such a betrayal is unacceptable. If the charges that have been leveled against the PDP in the NIA chargesheet are proved it will prove it beyond doubt that the so-called mainstream leaders were in a league with the separatists who wanted to keep Kashmir burning for their own vested interests.
After the death of PDP founder and late chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the party lost its footing and credibility. Mehbooba Mufti donning her father's mantle after his death didn't work out at all. Mehbooba was surrounded by a coterie which went out of way to appease the separatists and the people sitting across the Line of Control (LoC). Mehbooba it seems had thought that she will rule J&K forever and if the Kashmir remains disturbed it would help her cause.
The skeletons that are tumbling out indicate that PDP was an extension of Hurriyat Conference and its real face came to fore after the death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Since the day noose has been tightened around the PDP leaders they have been claiming that they are facing vendetta but the evidences against them are contradicting their claims.
As on date the PDP stands dismantled as the key leaders have said goodbye to the party. Mehbooba has been left alone with no one to fall back upon.
The BJP led government at the Centre had reposed full faith in her by giving her a chance to become the first woman chief minister of the erstwhile J&K state but she messed up the golden opportunity she was given. As on date the PDP stands at crossroads and the acts committed by its leaders have put a question mark on the credibility of all the mainstream leaders in Kashmir. Last thing one could have expected from these leaders was that they would be involved in terror funding and that too has come for fore. It's highest form of betrayal.
