JAMMU, Apr 12: Govt. Degree College, R.S Pura kickstarted celebrations of India's 75 years of Independence "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" by commemorating the Jallianwala Bagh Day.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. G.S. Rakwal, Principal of the college and supervision of Anuradha, Convener Cultural Committee in collaboration with Bindu Kumari, Nodal Officer, EBSB Unit.
Neelu Gupta, Department of History was the chief guest on the occasion. In her address, she paid tribute to the martyrs of the tragedy and spoke extensively about the history of the event. The event started with a welcome address by the Convener, Cultural Committee.
