JAMMU, Oct 5: Announcing the candidature of Virander Magotra from Bishnah constituency for the forthcoming assembly elections, Prof. Virender Mohan president Jammu State Morcha (P) has asked its workers to put out all efforts for his victory.
Addressing party workers at Bishnah today Prof Gupta clarified that no other party with the name of JSM was existing in the state and all the office bearers of the erstwhile State Morcha are now the members of the front led by him.
Senior Vice President, H. B. Khajuria, Vice President, Capt. Anil Gour(Retd), Secretary General-Digvijay Singh, General Secretary, Virander Magotra and Youth President, Surinder Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Prof Gupta said that happenings during the struggle for the use of land at Baltal by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and the communal, fundamentalist anti-Jammu and anti- India mindset of Kashmiri leaders show that Jammu region would not get justice so long it remains part of Jammu and Kashmir State. In the present political set up people of Jammu region are going to suffer and discriminated against. He criticized the National Conference Government for amending Jammu and Kashmir Constitution and banning the delimitation of assembly constituencies till fresh census is held after 2026. By this act the National Conference Govt. has committed a criminal assault on the democratic norms and debarred the people of Jammu region from raising the voice for increase in the assembly seats. |
