LG leading from front
5/19/2021 12:09:04 AM
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visiting Government Medical College Jammu amidst the peak of COVID-19 pandemic has once again proven it beyond doubt that he is leading from the front and is concerned about the welfare of the people.
LG Sinha after visiting the hospital directed the senior doctors to take the frontline and remain available. His visit is a message to one and all that people matter and they cannot be ignored.
The LG led administration has taken all possible steps to help the people and providing COVID-19 kits to the masses has been appreciated by one and all.
Steps that have been taken during the second COVID-19 wave were missing during the first wave. When the pandemic broke out last year many people lost their lives due to want of oxygen, but this time around authorities have ensured that there is no deficiency of the oxygen. The new oxygen plants have been installed and as such there is no scarcity of the oxygen. The causalities are on the higher side but these are due to more and more people getting infected as the second wave has hit us hard.
The Lieutenant Governor by visiting GMC Jammu has made it clear that no one can take his job easily and the administration has to lead from the front.
Officials cannot just runaway from their responsibilities. They have to pull up their socks and facilitate the patients.
They need to take stock of the situation regularly and keep on taking the feedback continuously. People are struggling in the hospitals they need respite and assistance. Doctors and paramedics are doing a commendable job but they need support and administration has to provide it.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi from PM Cares Fund has given many ventilators, these machines have to be used so that critical patients don’t die due to lack of facilities.
LG Sinha has made it clear that no complacency would be tolerated and no stone would be left unturned to save the lives of people. We are caught in a war like situation and it has to be fought with steadfastness and firmness.
Situation is grim and it needs to be tackled tactfully. People have to cooperate and need to choose between ventilator and vaccine. The government is trying its best to do what it can do. We have to be firm.
