Covid third wave fear
5/19/2021 11:36:28 PM
Fear of third wave of COVID-19 reaching India has sent the alarm bells ringing. Jammu and Kashmir Government has set up a 10-member panel to formulate a strategy to handle the possible outbreak of the next wave. Experts are predicting that the third wave will affect the children and they are urging the government to open up the vaccination drive for kids also. The panel of doctors that has been set up by the J&K Government has been asked to come up with the recommendations that could help in handling the crisis that may emerge. The first wave of COVID-19 had hit the old age people hard, while the second wave took a heavy toll on the middle aged and young people.
For the past 2-years the world has been fighting pestilence but its raising its ugly head again and again. Some experts have claimed that the COVID-19 is not a natural virus and it appears to be a man’s creation. This virus survives in all kinds of temperatures and it cannot be natural. The COVID-19 had emerged from Wuhan in China in 2019. China controlled the pandemic within a few months but the other countries that were hit by the virus are still fighting it. Former president of the United States, Donald Trump, had accused China of waging a war against the world by “manufacturing” the virus and then spreading it. However, China from day one has been denying the charges that were leveled against it. At present the situation in India is grim as the virus has got transmitted into the community. Number of positive cases have increased and so has the death toll. The Covid has wreaked havoc. Recently one of the top medicos said that “Third World War” is being fought by the doctors and the people at home. India has intensified the inoculation drive and more and more people are getting vaccinated. The people who have taken COVID-19 jabs even after getting infected are not facing that many difficulties and are coming out. Indian vaccines are working and it’s just a matter of time when this virus will be defeated.
Fears of a third Covid wave could be true. We need to pull up our socks and fight it. It’s a war and we have to win it by remaining firm and steadfast in our resolve to send the virus packing.
