Jammu, May 26: Sharda Devi along with Sanjogita Sudan Health Officer JMC and in collaboration with The Bethel Charitable Trust (BTC) distributed ration among the 100 needy families of Bethel Living Word School, Qasim Nagar and Bahu Fort Area in ward 47.
Speaking on the occasion Sharda Kumari said that it is the hour of great challenge before the nation as well as the humanity. She further encouraged all the people to extend a helping hand to the needy people in their nearby areas and help them in whatever way possible.
She further added that it is a commendable step taken by the BTC by giving full support to the school which is running this charity under their bannership and proving the proverb charity begins at home.
She further appealed the general public to follow the lockdown as it has been implemented for their safety only and not to wander outside needlessly and wear masks and practice social distancing while at a public place.
John Roques Bhatti (chairman BTC) said that BTC is an organisation which is working very hard to reach the weaker section of the society by distributing dry ration and cooked food at many places. In the end, John Roques Bhatti and Sophia Bhatti felicitated the corporator, Sanjogita Sudan HO JMC, Arun Nayar ASO with mementos and appreciate certificates to the other members of JMC.
