Early Times Report

Jammu, May 31: Bhartiya Janata Party celebrated seven years of NDA rule (5+2) yesterday all over the nation as Covid Sewa Divas for the service of humanity amidst the current crisis caused by the Covid pandemic.
The event was bereft of any pomp and show that included blood donation camps, distribution of covid relief material, awareness of Covid Appropriate Behaviour including distribution of masks and sanitizers, ayush medical camps, food and ration distribution to the needy.
The party karyakartas and leaders were out in the field reaching to the doorsteps of the needy and poor. The SewaKarya was carried out under the party’s flagship programme, “Sewa Hi Sangthan.”
The event covered more than 5000 polling booths in Jammu region and approximately 1000 villages in Kashmir. “To serve the humanity is to serve the Lord” (Nar Sewa hi Narayan Sewa) provides motivation to the thousands of Karyakartas who are willing to risk their lives to serve the needy.
The JKPCC on the other hand alleged BJP for being insensitive to the peoples’ needs. “Can there be anything farther from truth than this allegation of the Congress leadership” rued Anil Gupta, spokesperson of the Party.
“Can the Congress leadership tell the people their contribution towards mitigating the sufferings and woes of the needy. Fortunately, the virus did not make any distinction between the mighty and weak, rich or poor, educated or uneducated. Otherwise, the Congress would have blamed BJP even for that,” asserted Brig Gupta. According to ex-Congress President Rahul Gandhi “Corona first attacks those who don’t have food, are financially weak. In other words, India’s poor.” Can the Congress prove this with figures? Congress only believes in lies and runs away from the naked truth, since it operates from offices and homes and is unseen in the field, stated Gupta.
