JKNPP demands centre's intervention to ensure protection of minorities in Kashmir

JAMMU, June 4: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) leadership has expressed deep anguish over the killing of Municipal Councillor/BJP leader Rakesh Pandit at Tral on Monday by gunmen, moving unhindered in sensitive areas.
The party leaders held a virtual/video meeting under the leadership of Prof Bhim Singh, President-JKNPP and expressed shock over the point black shooting of the senior BJP leader of Kashmir & Councillor Rakesh Pandit.
Panthers lamented that once land of flowers, heavenly abode Kashmir has turned into an open field of miseries and humiliation of the secular credentials of the saintly Valley of great mystics. Panthers asked the majority Muslim brethren to protect the minorities and ensure their return and rehabilitation of Pandits, Sikhs and others in their ancestral homes. Prominent amongst senior leaders who paid tributes to the departed patriot Rakesh Pandit include, Prof Bhim Singh, Sanjoy Sachdev (Political Advisor), PK Ganju, Masood Andrabi, Mohd Iqbal Chowdhury, Anita Thakur, Yashpaul Kundal (Former MLA), Hakikat Singh Jamwal, Paramjit Singh Marshall, Naresh Chib, Surinder Wahi, Gagan Partap Singh, Parshotam Parihar, Neeraj Deewan, Sewa Singh Bali, Desh Rattan Pandita besides others.
