6/21/2021 10:55:40 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 21: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) has expressed pleasure over the Lt Governor’s decision of civil secretariat’s functioning in both winter and summer capitals of the J&K UT. Calling it a victory of both major regions of the UT and thousands of vast population living in far flung villages of Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar and Bani who found it very difficult to go to Srinagar and stay there in disturbed conditions. It also benefitted all the secretariat staff who lived like nomads all their service life, with disturbed children education and employment denial to spouses. The president of DSS complimented all the members of DSS Gulchain Singh Charak who put in enormous efforts in projecting this case and pursuing this demand for over a decade with various Union, State and UT governments.
Talking of wasteful expenditure, the former minister said, although the official figures are Rs 200 Cr but in fact it was double that amount counting on DA, TA, double establishment, maintenance, transport fleets and hotel bills etc. He appealed the LG to spare one year saving to restore the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and turn it into a profit earning productive tourism spot.
While thanking Manoj Sinha wholeheartedly, the DSS projected another “Awam Ki Awaz” to remove the barrier in front of the Jammu Secretariat.
Among those who attended the meeting included Col. Karan Singh, G.A. Khwaja, Ajay Khajuria, Brig. M.S. Jamwal, Col. Dr. Virendra K. Sahi, Col. J.P. Singh, Samar Dev Singh Charak, Ghambir Dev Singh Charak and others.
