| Tribal Population Survey: DSEO Rajouri visits highland Pastures to review progress | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 17: District Statistics Evaluation Officer Rajouri (Dy. Census Officer) today conducted an extensive tour of highland postures in Shaker Marg, Sarota, Thumbal areas of Tehsil Darhal to get first-hand information of the nomadic habitations and review the progress of Tribal population survey.
The Survey of Tribal Migratory Population is underway in the District and is being conducted for oriented plan formulation by the departments keeping in view the needs of the Tribal Population.
During the tour, DSEO Rajouri Bilal Rashid interacted with migratory population en-route and also during his stay at Dhoks/Pastures in the upper reaches of the District. He took note of various problems faced by nomads including absence of health services, regular education, medical care of live stocks, lack of benefits of schemes meant for them, transit infrastructure requirements, disaster relief and measures, network connectivity, livelihood and other socio-economic indicators.
He also had an overview of ration availability, Mobile schools, healthcare, veterinary facilities and housing issues. He assured them of necessary assistance from the District Administration in consultation with Administrative Department Tribal Affairs. |
