| NYK observes World Population day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 17: As part of World Population Day celebrations 2021, Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur organized seven day programme from 11th July 2021 to 17th 2021 in all the 17 blocks of Udhampur district.
Under the supervision of Khushal Gupta, District Youth Officer, NYK Udhampur, the programme was aimed to draw attention towards the issues arising out of rising population across the globe. To highlight the difficulties created by overpopulation and creating awareness about how overpopulation has harmed the ecosystem and progress of humanity. The National Youth Volunteers of Udhampur stepped out from their houses and made awareness among people regarding the population control, importance of family planning etc.
In this seven days programme different activities were organised by all NYVs in their respective blocks. The activities included Door to Door awareness on 11th July, Oath taking on population control on 12th July, Awareness Rallies on 13th July, Essay Writing competitions on 14th July, Painting competition on 15th July, Plantation Drive on 16th July and Swachhta Work Camps on 17th July.
