Reasi Police arrest more absconders

REASI, July 17: Continuing a drive against underground criminals & absconders, Reasi Police steering ahead in its drive against outlaws who are evading arrests since years, in another round of raids & searches, multiple teams of Reasi Police arrested sixteen more absconders evading arrests since years.
Six of accused persons were involved in direct militancy, charged for killings of innocent citizens of villages as well as harboring terrorists including one accused of murder in twenty cases. 13 absconders were accused of rape, 4 for murder, 4 number were involved in cases registered under NDPS Act. 13 number of accused absconders were involved in cheating, robbery & theft cases. 19 others were involved in other multiple offenses in the society.
34 absconders were residents of Reasi and still living in the district. 20 were arrested from outside Reasi including 8 who had run away from the district & hiding outside including one from Kashmir valley. Special teams were sent to apprehend them from their hide outs.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding surrendered-militant Mohd Shabir, accused of murder & wanted in case FIR NO 222/2002 U/S 302,120-B,121,123 RPC, 7, 25, 26, 27 Arms act of Police Station Mahore.
Offense was proved and final report was produced in the court of law against the accused person and his accomplices. Accused is being arrested after 19 years after commission of crime of killing innocent villagers. Case of crime of murder was registered against Mohd Shabir S/O Mokamdin R/O Hasote Chassana 2) Ghulam Nabi S/O Nazir Ahmed R/O Kalaban chassana 3) Ghulam Mustafa S/O Mohd Abdullah R/O Kalaban Chasana, all militants of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Pakistan based terrorist organization, evaded arrest and couldn't be apprehended since registration of Case FIR against them and a General Warrent of Arrest commonly known as 'Gashati Warrant' U/S 512 CrPC was issued against them by Hon'ble court of JMIC Mahore issued dated 30-08-2003.
Another team of Reasi Police on a specific information raided and arrested Mohd Shabir from Hasote area of Chassana after tracking uphill for 3 hours. Ghulam Mustafa S/O Mohd Abdullah is presently in PoK and another wanted in the case Ghulam Nabi S/O Nazir Ahmed was killed in an encounter by security forces whereas Mohd Shabir surrendered before security forces in 2004 but was not produced in the court in which he was booked.
The said absconder Shabir is a notorious hardcore criminal, habitual offender & also involved in attempt to murder case FIR No 39/2007 U/S 307, 120-B, 121,122, 364 RPC 7, 27 Arms Act, FIR no 170/2002 U/S 302,307,120-B RPC 26/27AAct, FIR no 179/2002 U/S 302, 307, 120-B, 121, 123 RPC, 7, 25, 26, 27 Arms Act, 53/2003 U/S 302, 395, 120-B, 121, 123 RPC 7, 27 Arms Act, m Police Station Mahore.
In another raid, kidnapping and rape accused Yousaf Khan son of Mohd Rafiq R/O Palma Near Budi Morh Rajouri absconding in case Fir no 36/2013 U/S 376, 363, 342, 109 RPC Police Station Mahore was arrested by team of Reasi Police from Aiti Rajouri in eight years old case pending trial. To avoid conviction Yousaf jumped trial proceedings of the case against whom General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Hon'ble court of Session Judge Reasi.
Team of Reasi Police arrested another absconding criminal in drug peddling case namely Arfan Ahmed Bhat S/O Gulam Nabi Bhat R/O Ganesh Bal Ashmuqam Pahalgam wanted in case Fir no 248/2014 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act Police Station Reasi. Accused jumped trial proceedings to avoid conviction and now arrested from Pahalgam area. A General Warrant of Arrest U/S 512 CrPC was issued against him by Hon'ble Court of Sessions Judge Reasi on November 01, 2019
On 15-08-1991 a case of didnapping, FIR no 98/1991 U/S 366,109 RPC was registered at police station Mahore. Case was proved and challaned in the court of law against four accused. Rashid S/O Kaka R/O Lancha, Chandia S/O Ghulam Mohd R/O Lancha, Abdullah S/O Bajja R/O Dredha, Rafeeq S/O Qadir R/O Dhanore. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and a Warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued by Hon'ble Addl. Session Judge Reasi against him on 21/08/1997. Now team of Reasi Police arrested them from different areas and produced them in the court of law.
On developing specific information, team of Reasi Police raided and arrested a theft accused Sham Lal S/O Sita Ram caste Brahmin R/O Targal Akhnoor Jammu from Reasi who was wanted in case FIR no 196/1992 U/S 457, 380 RPC of Police Station Katra & committed crime 29 years back. Offense was proved and case challaned in the court of law. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrent of Arrest U/S 512 CrPC was issued against him by Hon'ble Court of JMIC Reasi.
Team of Reasi Police raided and arrested Mohd Shafiq S/O Mir Mohd Caste Gujjar R/o Fatehpur Tehsil Rajouri absconding in case FIR No. 23/2011 U/S 420, 170, 506 RPC from Rajouri, a Warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued by JMIC Reasi against him on 09.12.2014.
Another team of Police post Dera Baba Reasi raided in Gharota area of Akhnoor Jammu and arrested an absconder Sanjay Kumar S/O Ganesh Dutt R/O Rabta Gharota Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu who was absconding in case FIR No 170/2017. Offense was proved and case challaned in the court of law against the accused. To avoid conviction, accused jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrent of Arrest was issued against him by Hon'ble Court of JMIC Katra.
Police team of Police Station Reasi assisted by Police Station Akhnoor, on a specific information raided in 'Baba-Talab' Kanachak Jammu and arrested an absconder Saddam Hussain @Dodu S/O Mohd Rafique R/O Miran sahib Tehsil RS Pura Jammu absconding in case FIR NO 140/2019 U/S 188, 429 RPC, 3 PC Act. Saddam evaded arrest and couldn't be apprehended since registration of FIR against him. A General Warrant of Arrest U/S 512 CrPC was issued against him on by Hon'ble Court of Munsif Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Reasi in four years old crime.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconder Mohd Ashraf S/O Ghulam Rasool R/O Nehru Park Srinagar wanted in case FIR no 33/2003 U/S 457, 380 RPC P/S Katra from Nehru Park area of Srinagar. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon'ble Court of JMIC Katra on 22/3/2014 for not attending trial proceedings.
Team of Reasi Police on a specific information raided and arrested one Babu Ram S/O Zia Lal R/O Padyarena Kishtwar from his residence after tracking uphill for about 3 hours. He was absconding in case FIR no 119/2017 Police Station Katra, evading arrests in the case. General Warrant of arrest U/S 512 CrPC issued by Hon'ble Court of JMIC Katra was pending four years old case. Absconder Joginder Singh S/O Rashpal Singh R/O Jindrah Jammu A/P Opposite Degree college Jindrah Near Grid Station, against whom warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued by Hon'ble court JMIC Katra on 01/04/2004 is also arrested by team of Reasi Police after seventeen years.
Another absconder Balwan Singh arrested in a raid from Ramban. Absconder Balwan Singh S/O Thopa Ram R/O Balot teh district Ramban involved in case FIR no. 35/2014 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and warrant U/S 512 CrPC was issued against him by Hon'ble Court of Session Judge Reasi & arrested after seven years. Team of Reasi Police raided and arrested absconder namely Vikram Singh S/O Deewan Singh R/O Mansoo Tehsil Reasi District Reasi absconding in case FIR No. 150/2005 U/S 379/511 RPC of Police Station Katra from Dera Baba Reasi after sixteen years of commission of crime. A general warrant of arrest U/S 512 Cr.PC was issued by Hon'ble court of Munsiff JMIC Katra.
Reasi police under the command of Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi launched a special drive under the banner "F'RARI KI GRIFTARI"; arresting the absconders and remained successful in nabbing hardcore, notorious & habitual criminals who were evading the due process of law since years and against whom general warrants of arrest were issued by Courts were pending.
Shailender has a track record of chasing & apprehending more than 200 absconders while he was posted in district Jammu & 14 while posted as SSP Crime Jammu.
