DC Udhampur inaugurates screening of movie "Nasha"

UDHAMPUR, July 17: A movie highlighting fall outs of drugs and addiction "Nasha" produced by Prikshit Dogra Entertainment was today formally released by Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur , Indu Kanwal Chib as the chief guest. District Information Officer, Ateeksha Sethi was the guest of honour.
After releasing the movie, the DC congratulated movie director Surinder Kumar and his team members for their excellent production. She expressed hope that this will help in generating awareness among the general public of the district. The DC applauded the efforts of the director for writing a story on a very crucial subject 'NASHA' in a short span of time and making productive use of the lockdown period. The movie carries a message that a safe and healthy lifestyle is possible only by staying away from intoxicating substances including tobacco, alcohol and drugs. The DC said that the people should cooperate with the administration to eradicate the menace of drugs and social evils in the district. She stressed on the need to spread the message far and wide to save the new generation from getting perished into drugs. The DC stressed on the need for moral education of the children and appealed to parents to ensure that children do not fall prey to any social evil. The DC appealed the participants to register their complaint against perpetrators of drug abuse on the phone number 01992-272727-272728. She said the name of the person will be kept secret. She urged the participants to stay away from all kinds of addiction and focus on acquiring education, moral values and skills which can assist them in pursuing a successful career. The DC further appealed to all the people of Udhampur to come forward and uproot this menace from the society for better future of new generations. The renowned artist, Prikshit Gupta was also an invitee and the DC appreciated his work on different platforms within and outside UT.
