SWC launches "Toy Story-Chotti Si Muskaan!" | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 17: Benu Lakra - the project head Sparkle Women Club (SWC), announced the adoption of the paediatric ward of Oncology SMGS in providing nutrition and hygiene to the inmates and also promised to give new and recycled toys to the little children undergoing the treatment. Sparkle has also made a "Wish Bank" for the kids where some of the wishes of these children will be fulfilled. Poonam Sethi, founder and chairperson Sparkle, welcomed the guests with warm hearts. Sarika Sethi Cofounder and a cancer survivor shared her experience with the big C touching many hearts which was followed by a Q&A session conducted by the members of the sparkle club. Shreya Saraf who worked on using induced pluripotent stem cell derived hepatocytes for the treatment of Glycogen Storage Disorder in children shared her expertise during the meet. A vote of thanks was proposed along with encouraging melody by group members. Launch of project's success, promised hope and joy to the little hearts. The occasion was graced by Dr Ghanshyam Saini HoD, Dr Sanjeev Digra, Dr Puja BMO Sarwal and Dr Surbhi Koudiyar. In many other ways this group is helping people affected in this pandemic by providing regular Langar at GMC, Oximeter for covid ward, Dry ration to untapped areas. 'Red Ek Ehsaas' menstrual hygiene drive, vaccination drive covered almost 200+ people, provided sanitizer and mask to everyone, plantation drive during Vanmahotsav. It’s true that the joy of giving that lasts longer rather than joy of getting. Believing in this a continuous support to the society is motive of SWC.
