GDC Ramgarh organizes online workshop | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 17: Under the banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Psychological Counselling Cell, Government Degree College Ramgarh organised an online workshop. The workshop was organized on the theme entitled “Guidance for Psychosocial support and Covid helper skills” in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India on 17th of July, 2021. The workshop was held under the patronage of principal Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol. The workshop was inaugurated by worthy principal Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, who welcomed the resource person. She highlighted the importance of this type of initiatives and also appreciated the efforts of the MGNCRE and Agravat Vishal Vinodbhai, resource person of the workshop. Agravat Vishal Vinodbhai began the workshop by asking the students to identify the areas where they can become covid helper’s and where they can provide Psychosocial support to the covid affected people. He taught a number of skills to the students. He discussed the topic with latest and relevant examples. He also dealt on the techniques by which we can provide assistance to the needy people to overcome distressing situation caused by Covid-19 Pandemic. The objective of the workshop was to enable the participants to become covid warriors to fight the pandemic and to encourage the student community to take part in covid services. The workshop was of one and half hour which remained interesting and engaging from the beginning to end. The workshop ended with a note ‘everyone reach one’. The programme was initiated by Prof. Seema Sharma, Associate Professor (Education) and Convenor of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsava. The vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Minali Deep, Deptt. of EVS. The workshop was enthusiastically attended by students and faculty members of the college.
