RAMBAN, July 19: A market checking squad constituted by the Tehsildar, involving the officers of various enforcement agencies today conducted market checking here in Main Bazaar Batote.
Naib Tehsildar, Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Designated Officer Food Safety, Inspector legal Metrology, Police and other concerned officers checked various business establishments in the main market. The team also sensitized the shopkeepers, especially milk & milk product sellers, meat & chicken sellers, vegetable & fruit vendors about extant rules and regulations.
The checking squad also recovered a fine of Rs 2600 from erring traders and destroyed 1 quintals sub slandered vegetables.
The officers instructed shopkeepers to display the rate list and sell commodities on the rates fixed by Department/Associations. Owners of Food Joints and Restaurants were instructed to use only commercial LPG cylinders.
The People belonging to these areas were also advised to approach the Department in case of any complaint. The Checking squad also checked implementation of Covid SOPs especially in public places. |
