JAMMU, July 19: Natrang's National Theatre Talk Show, 'Young Voices of Theatre' featured recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi's "Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purskar" for theatre lighting, Govind Singh Yadav today who shared his inspirational thoughts with the global audience at the Facebook page of Natrang Jammu.

He is working as Stage Manager and Light Expert at National School of Drama Repertory Company, New Delhi. Recipient of Junior Fellowship from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, Govind had also completed one year diploma in 'Kathak' from NCZCC, Allahabad. He has directed a number of plays which include; 'Aadhe Adhure', 'Khamosh Adalat Jari Hai', 'Duvidha', 'Ballabhpur Ki Roop Katha', 'Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein', 'Do Koudi Ka Khel', 'Halal Khor', 'Ajaat Ghar', 'Andha Yug', 'Chor', 'Bade Bhai Saheb', 'Murkh Guru Ke Chele' and 'Bholaram Ka Jeev' etc. He has the credit of working in different theatre organisations and other educational institutions too.
In an interesting conversation with Natrang's senior artist Neeraj Kant, Govind narrated his journey of theatre. Shy by nature, Govind started doing theatre as a child artist and continued the passion as it offered personality enrichment to him. Other than acting or direction, he interestingly opted light designing.
Gagan who has done lighting for several prestigious events recalls that he got immense opportunities to work with the stalwarts while working in NSD and expressed his gratitude towards all those who have helped in shaping his artistic personality. He believes that designing is a continuous process, one has to keep on evolving to master it. Govind opines that in theatre, one has to give time and more the time is invested, more satisfying are the results and suggests to never count the returns in terms of profit and loss in theatre, rather try to experience the enlightenment to the self it has provided.
Natrang's creative team who is managing this national event includes Suresh Kumar, Neeraj Kant, Anil Tickoo, Sumeet Sharma, Sanjeev Gupta, Mohd Yaseen, Brijesh Avtar Sharma, Gauri Thakur and Chander Shekhar.
