Students of SPMR college attend free internship programme

JAMMU, July 19: Girl students of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce Jammu attended 45 days Internship Programme at Rohtak under the guidance of Dr. Peerzada Muhammad Yousuf , former Director, Higher Education Dept. Jammu. The Internship began today and a small function was organised for the four girl students Parneet Kour, Prabjot Kour, Preeti Sharma and Sushma Kumari from semester VI of the college who attended the internship programme.
They expressed their happiness and satisfaction on attending the programme. They said that they learnt about Communication Skills, practical knowledge of working in an organisation besides handling of managerial problems and other aspects of internship.
Prof Ranjeet Singh Jamwal, Principal of the college congratulated the students for being the first in the college to go for internship to Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak, he told the students that the college is proud of them for being brave to complete their internship in such trying times during the Covid-19.
He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Peerzada Muhammad Yousuf, former Director Colleges, Higher Education Department J&K for his personal initiative to coordinate with IIM Rohtak for providing opportunity to girls students for attending the Internship Programme.
Prof. Archana Kaul (Convenor, Manodarpan: Psychological cum Career Counselling Cell), convinced the students to grab the opportunity for the Internship Programme from such prestigious institution.
