CAHO takes stock of departmental activities in Gandoh

DODA, July 24: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer(CAHO) Doda Dr, Sanjay Kumar Sen visited Gundoh Block of District Doda and took stock of the Departmental activities and implementation of various flagship schemes including Integrated Dairy Development (IDDS), Integrated Poultry Development Program (IPDP), Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP), National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) etc.
During the visit, the CAHO held detailed interaction with the PRIs of the Gundoh Block and explained to them about the ongoing departmental schemes under Atma Nirbhar Bharat meant for doubling the farmers' income.
Special emphasis was laid on the importance of Pashu Mela at Hiranagar Kathua and participation of farmers in this Mega event.
PRIs were also encouraged to propagate the message of participation in the Pashu Mela being organized by the Department of Animal and Sheep Husbandry on 28th and 29th July at Hiranagar Kathua.
Pamphlets on Dairy and Poultry schemes were distributed among the participants on spot,
The meeting was chaired by the Block Development Council Chairman Gundoh, Mohammad Abbas Rather, who appreciated the role of the department and also put forth some of the burning issues for consideration.
CAHO Doda was accompanied by senior Veterinary Surgeons Dr. Shakir Butt, Dr. Tariq Hussain and Dr. Ravinder Singh.
Later, CAHO, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen visited the proposed site for the installation of a feed mill plant sanctioned under Feed and Fodder Development Scheme at Nilti Gundoh. He was informed regarding the availability of the land/financial status of the project.
