Registration of Clinical establishments, implementation of PC&PNDT Act discussed at Kathua | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, July 24: To discuss the modalities for the registration of new Clinical establishments and Diagnostic centers in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, who is also the Chairman, District Registering Authority of Clinical Establishments/Diagnostic centers, today convened a meeting of designated officers here at DC Office complex. The meeting discussed in length the modalities for speeding up the process of registration of Clinical establishments and Diagnostic centers under Clinical Establishment Act 2010(UT). The DC stressed on issuing fresh notice to inform all concerned about the mandatory registration of Clinical Establishments/Diagnostic centers under new rules. He also called for informing all such Clinical establishments and Diagnostic centers whose registration stands expired and need to be re-registered within prescribed time. The DC directed the Chief Medical Officer for the conduct of regular inspection of such Clinical establishments by the designated teams in the district before issuing registration. While reviewing the implementation of PC&PNDT, Act the DC directed the CMO to train the Multipurpose Health Workers (MPHW), ASHA and Anganwadi workers about the penal provision of PC&PNDT Act so as to discourage the practice of sex determination and female foeticide. The DC also called for updating the database of all the registered ultrasound centres and regular inspection of these centres to prevent the violation of PC&PNDT Act. |
