Gujjar leader appeal LG for introduction of Gojri | | | Early Times Report POONCH, July 25: A Gujjar leader Shamsher Hakla Poonchi has appealed the Lieutenant Governor to approach the Government of India with the recommendation that Gojri language may be included in the 8th schedule of the constitution of India. This would ensure the development and spread of Gojri language. Shamsher Hakla Poonchi further added that the Gojri language is being spoken by a very large number population of Gujjars and Bakerwals of Jammu and Kashmir the number of which goes over thirty four lakhs which in no way could be ignored and their only mother language is Gojri. |
