| GDC Basohli celebrates National Parents Day | | |

BASOHLI, July 25: Under the aegis of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" the Psychological Counseling Cell of GDC Basohli celebrated "National Parents Day" by organizing online Counselling cum Interactive session with the students.
In the introductory address the in charge of Psychological Cell Dr. Shiv Mangal Singh briefed about the importance of Psychological Counselling during the COVID-19 Pandemic. He highlighted the issues faced by the parents and adolescent children during parenting.
Dr. Rachna Devi, Assistant Professor at GDC Kathua in her counseling cum interactive session discussed the significance of Counselling Cum Interaction during the current times. She stressed upon coping up with the behavior of adolescents as they witness biological, psychological, emotional and physical changes in them, wherein it becomes very difficult for parents as well as children to be normal in their behavior.
It is even more challenging during this crisis of COVID 19 Pandemic. She also talked about the management of delinquent behaviors by adopting Yoga, Meditation and Visualization in our day to day activities. The session was attended by more than 50 students and faculty members of the College Prof. Sanjeev Gupta, Dr. R K Manhas, Dr. Kehar Singh, Dr. Papinder Bhagat, Prof. Pawan Atri, Prof. Suresh Kumar, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Sandeep Verma, Sandeep Sharma, Prof. Brham Dutt, Dr. Jeevan Kashyap, Prof. Sheetal Lalotra and Prof. Sadaf Nasti. The event culminated with the vote of thanks presented by Dr. Gotam Singh Lalotra. |
