GDC Darhal concludes 2 day virtual conference

DARHAL, July 29: A two day International virtual conference on the theme "Recent Trends and Techniques in Mathematical and Computer Science" organized by Govt. Degree College Darhal in collaboration with Cape Comorin Trust Tamil Nadu and Lavender Literary Club concluded today.
Principal of the College Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia chaired the Valedictory Session. Prof. Jasrotia said that the International Virtual Conference was a grand success as overall 87 research papers were presented by the participants from highly reputed academic institutions from India and abroad.
He said that absorbing technical sessions, threadbare discussions, highly informative Key note addresses and thought provoking Plenary sessions were the hall mark of this Virtual conference. Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain, Cryptocurrency and Internet of Things were the interesting topics discussed in the conference.
Reading out the report of the conference, Organizing Secretary of International Virtual Conference Dr. Ather Aziz Raina Head Department of Mathematics Govt. Degree College Darhal told that total number of 87 research papers were presented in the conference. He said that main highlight of the conference was Prof. Haroon Rashid Bhat Memorial Award for best paper presentation. He said that Prof. Haroon Rashid was a young faculty member from PG College Rajouri who died due to COVID few months back. In Mathematical Sciences Category: Umar Muhammad Modibbo, Department of Statistics and Operations Research, Modibbo Adama University Yola, Nigeria and in Computer Sciences Category, Jameel Ahmed, Deptt of Computer Sciences, Manu Central University Hyderabad received the Best Paper Presentation Award.
He thanked Prof. Aquil Ahmed, Chairman Department of Statistics & Operational Research, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Prof. Madhu Jain, Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Dr. Prasanthen Rajasingam, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Jaffna, Srilanka, Dr. Harish Garg, Department of Mathematics, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dr. A.K. Malik, Department of Mathematics, BK Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani, Rajasthan and Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University, Ferozepur, Punjab for their highly informative talks in the conference. He also appreciated the wholehearted support provided by Cape Comorin Trust, Tamil Nadu (India) and Lavender Literary Club in organizing this event.
